Former Vice President Joe Biden argued on Monday that the House of Representatives “has no other choice” than to continue the political process against President Donald Trump because he “violated the Constitution”.
“The simple answer is this: the Chamber has no choice. It must enforce the Constitution,” Biden told a member of the public in his CNN municipality. “Regardless of whether or not it works or not, regardless of whether or not he should be expelled from the office, at first glance there is a main case in which he violated the Constitution of the United States of America by asking other countries to participate in our policy ”
Biden reminded the public that he suffered two layoffs, against Presidents Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton, but “it is nothing I would like the country to go through”. He said that it is necessary to defend the principles of the Constitution.
“If the case is getting as strong as I think it was done, if it’s as strong as it was done, those areas that are independent and the Republican areas that say” Whoa. Whoa. We have to do something here. do something here, “explained Biden.
The former vice president made it clear that he is not convinced that Senate Republicans do not proceed with political process procedures.
“I don’t buy it,” he said. “I don’t think the Senate ever moves”.
Biden encouraged Republicans to contact their representatives and senators if they believe Trump “broke the law” by asking Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate his son, Hunter.
Remember: Hunter Biden was sitting on the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian gas company, although he had no experience in natural energy. At that time Vice President Joe Biden also managed international relations with Ukraine on behalf of the Obama administration. It was later discovered that Burisma actively sought to lobby the Obama administration to reject the corruption allegations against the company.
"Everybody says the House will in fact indict, impeach … and the Senate will never move. I don't buy that. … Let's see where the facts lead us," Joe Biden says. "My job is just to go beat him." #CNNTownHall https://t.co/L52YAdAzWQ pic.twitter.com/qkTy2mHuRo
