Judge Andrew Napolitano, once a conservative darling, is nothing if not consistent, and his hatred for President Donald Trump is as consistent as anything.

In a column and video for Fox News the judge argued that the Democrats have good evidence against the president.

And he said the president had engaged in “criminal behavior” and had committed impeachable offenses that the Democrats are investigating.

“The whistleblower’s revelation caused the White House to release a near-verbatim summary of the conversation between the two presidents,” he said.

“By releasing it, Trump has admitted to its accuracy. In it, Trump asked Zelensky for dirt on former Vice President Joe Biden, who at this writing is Trump’s likely Democratic opponent in the 2020 presidential election.

‘Trump also admits to holding up $391 million in aid to Ukraine – $250 million in the purchase of already approved and built military hardware and $141 million in a congressionally authorized grant.

“This is aid that Trump’s own secretaries of state and defense, his own director of national intelligence and director of the CIA, and his own National Security Council unanimously asked him to release.

“Trump has also admitted to accusing the as-yet publicly unnamed whistleblower of treason, and suggesting that the whistleblower and those who have helped him are spies and ought to be treated as spies were in ‘the old days’ (Trump’s phrase) – that is, by hanging,” he said.

The judge went on to say that the president’s words are “dangerous” and are a “dog whistle to the deranged.”

“The president’s allusions to violence are palpably dangerous. They will give cover to crazies who crave violence, as other intemperate words of his have done.

“His words have already produced offers of ‘bounties’ in return for outing and finding the whistleblower,” the judge said.

“Trump also suggested that his impeachment would produce a second American Civil War. This language is a dog whistle to the deranged,” he said.

But it was in his video where he hammered the president for, what he believes are, criminal behavior and impeachable offenses.

He said that President Trump was holding aid to the Ukraine for ransom which “was a violation of federal law.”

“That is an impeachable offense. That is what the Democrats are seeking to investigate,” he said in the video on the Fox News website.

He then dismissed the case against Joe and Hunter Biden as a smokescreen used by fans of President Trump to distract from the issue.

And he told the president that if he wants to win his impeachment case that he should not act like a “frenetic lawyer on television trying to make Joe Biden look worse.”

“The president should present a principled defense if he has one, because the Democrats have a lot of evidence against him,” he said.
